Moldex3D does not provide PCB board in material bank directly. However, we can create a user defined PCB material for simulation.

Take FR4 PCB for instance, you can easily find the needed parameters on Internet or manufacture.

Due to the fact that PCB structure is more critical along X-Y direction, it is recommended to simplified into an isometric material to reduce the complicity. In that case, following parameters are needed for simulation:

1. Average Young’s modulus between X&Y
2. Average CLTE / Thermal expansion between X&Y
3. Poisson’s ratio XZ & YZ
4. Density
5. Heat capacity
6. Average thermal conductivity

After that, you can select a generic epoxy material, and modify PVT(density), specific heat, thermal conductivity and mechanical property.

This topic is resolved through email. The main issue is that Moldex3D API does not have the permission to access project folder.

If Moldex3D reading kernal can recongize the file, it will automatically switch to the correct format. However, it is still recommended to select the correct format in beginning.

It happend in previous version but should not be in 2024R2. Does it  happen on all model or just one case?
