The solver mechanism of powder injection molding (PIM)
Hello,
I’m currently evaluating Moldex3D PIM module. There are some questions I would like to confirm,
- I’ve noticed that the powder parameters, aside from the particle diameter, don’t influence the viscosity of the flow. Could you clarify whether any of the powder parameters are considered in the viscosity calculation during the flow phase ? And if so, how exactly is the link established between the two ?
-
When changing the particle diameter while keeping the initial powder concentration constant, does the software adjust the number of particles accordingly ? In other words, does this lead to a lower average powder concentration in the part ?
- Would it possible to access the HTC values that are automatically calculated by the software ? When plotting the pressure at switching versus HTC, I obtain a filling phase HTC value of around 27000 W/m2K, which seems quite high.
