iSLM Admin Rights: Which Services Require Administrator Account? Manual vs Automatic, and Non-Admin Access Needs
We’re preparing to deploy iSLM in a server-hosted setup and need clarity on required privileges:
-
Which iSLM services must be started with administrator rights?
Is this requirement tied to the Windows service Start type (e.g., only those set to Manual), or is it independent of Manual vs Automatic/Automatic (Delayed Start)? -
Corporate policy constraint:
We cannot grant administrator rights to an end user. In this case, we would start the iSLM services using a service account. Is this supported, and if so, what privilege level is required for that account (e.g., does it need to be a local administrator on the iSLM server)? -
Anything else non-admin users need?
Do end users (without admin rights) need any additional access—e.g., write permissions to the Moldex program/installation directory—to use iSLM?
Thanks in advance for your guidance!
