Only standard warp will output warpage volumetric result, and the one in the warp result is volumetric shrinkage at room temperature. Enhanced warp doesn’t have this. Normally we will observe the instant when the part gets frozen.
If most of the cavity are frozen before EOP, then please observe and check the result until EOP.
If most of them are frozen after EOP, then please check the result of Extend packing.

The residence time is calculated based on cavity volume, hot runner volume and cycle time.
In other words, it is the calculation of the plastic remaining at high temp from the time of plasticisation to the time being injected into mould.
If the plastic stays at molten and high temp for too long, it will lead to risk of thermal degradation.
The calculation is [( hot runner volume/ cavity volume)+ 1]* cycle time.
For the +1 means in the barrel, there will be melt volume needed for a cycle.

RE: I cannot find the mold deformation tab in the computation setting. Do you know where to find it?Asked on 6 5 月, 2024 in FAQ.
Mold deformation will be available in the following conditions,
- Injection molding with thermoplastic
- Full solid model including solid mold base, therefore, fast cool is not supported.
- Full matching mold
- Mold insert attribute is existing.

Solver will calculate fiber orientation displacement and random fiber orientation displacement.
Fiber orientation displacement – random fiber orientation displacement = fiber orientation effect displacement
By using this result, the user can estimate the displacement due to fiber orientation.

The problem can be categorized by difference way. For example, by process type like Injection molding, Bi-injection, Compression, etc., or by module like Studio, Fiber, Flow.
both of the way will create many sections in this forum and we afraid that maybe some of the sections will have very low popularity, so current all the questions related to Moldex3D belong “Moldex3D” section, unless the problem is clear related to IC or Moldiverse.
In the future, if some of the topics are very popular, we can expand the sections.
