RE: Non-Linear material cards FEA interface

I’m exploring options to perform non-linear FEA analyses in NX Nastran with the output mesh of my Moldex simulation. Right now I’m working with fiber reinforced material which calls for the MAT9 material card (since it’s anisotropic). Are there any option to include non-linear material characteristics like the MATS1 material card?
Hi Tim,
You can include non-linear characteristics in NX Nastran using MATS1, but Moldex3D alone won’t give you that. You’ll typically need a micromechanical model (like Digimat) to generate the non-linear anisotropic material data that can be plugged into MATS1.
